Two years in Antarctica
Welcome to my website, my name is Adrian Woodroffe and from Christmas 1997 to Spring 2000, I lived and worked at the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) base Halley 5 located on the Brunt Ice Shelf (Lat. 75°35'S, Long. 26°34'W). During these memorable two years, I worked with a small group of sixteen others, keeping the base running, doing a bit of science and keeping a presence at the Eastern edge of the British Antractic Claim. This site showcases some of photo’s I took during my time in Halley.
